Stemming Autism

My kids are both autistic. Stemming is in my own words a way of releasing energy for them. There are other definitions but when they are stressed or super happy they stem. Tyler, my oldest, stems by pacing and flapping his hands and rubbing his hair. Jax, my youngest does a cute little bunny hop and rubs his head. Other autistic children might stem in other ways.

Today Jax came home with sucking marks also called hickies on his arm. This is no alarm to me just needs attention. There are necklaces that are made for this sort of thing and they are ordered. the bunny hop is super cute and the hair rubbing is fun. I love to see my kids happy!!!!!! not with hickies but this wont last long i hope.
