My Racing Career

What a crazy ride those years were! I had never planned to have an athletic career. It went like this: Back in the late 1990s I set up my massage table at triathlons and fun-runs, hoping to pick up some extra work. One day, one of the competitors persuaded me to join him in a team triathlon, and that was it! I never looked back—and then one day about 12 years later I unlaced my racing shoes for the last time. I would not trade those memories for anything.
